The Soverign Class, USS Silvana, has been cleared to begin it's first mission in the Zulu Sector. The ship's captain, Vince Stryfe, will lead the ship into Zulu sector on a mission of exploration, first contacts, and if need be, protection. The ship will be operating closely to the Red Star Union's proclaimed territory, but expects to not have much conflict with the capitalist society, and hopes it remains that way.

The USS Crusader, an Abbe Class Starship assigned to the Tenth Expeditionary Fleet has gone missing. According to the admiralty in Tenth Fleet, the ship was investigating a missing Passenger vessel bringing colonists to the Kalos IV colony that was founded six months ago. The Kalos star system, as you'll recall is on the other side of Klingon space and was set for colonization as part of an increased Federation presence in the sector. The Klingons had granted Starfleet and the civilian vessels free passage through their space to get to Kalos as a gesture of good will as part of the ongoing peace talks spurred by the Khitomer conference. The Klingon ambassador denis knowledge of the Crusader or her mission and claims that several Klingon ships have also gone missing in the area, most recently three years ago.

The Crusader is commanded by Captain Frank Wallace, a Starfleet veteran of twenty three years. She carried a crew of two hundred and thirty three. Admiral Sevek of Vulcan tells us that the Crusader's mission profile called for them to return to the outpost at Kalos IV last week. No vessels have yet been dispatched to investigate this latest disappearance.
